I can't tell if she had a knife or not, the video is very hard to tell, but if she did then this definitely seems like a more warranted shooting then many of the others I've seen. We can't just say that EVERY shooting is police brutality/overreaction. This is one of the few cases where it may seem that the cop saved those girls lives. I mean there was at least a couple cops there with their guns out. If you are still raging and trying to stab people wile a cop is 5 ft from you with his gun pointed at you then you are just a fucking moron. Plus if you watch the video it looks like the big girl with the knife (presumably) charges the first girl who then falls to the ground and then goes after the pink girl while some other dude starts kicking the girl on the ground! The whole situation seems pretty fucked up and ridiculous. All I know is that if cops are near me and have guns pointed at me the last thing I'm going to do is try to charge and stab people.

I don't know the full context as I've only seen the 30 second video but if she really had a knife then this shooting looks way more justified than most of the others I've seen recently. I mean, if there are cops standing 5 ft from me with their guns pointed at me, the last thing I'm going to do is start charging people with a knife. And this cop had a duty to protect the people that were NOT trying to kill others with a knife. Also, yes it is pretty easy to cut someone's throat and if she stabbed someone in the throat, that would be way worse and almost certainly fatal depending of course on the angle, point of insertion and depth.
