  1. Probably because it's always referred to as the Hush Money case, which is not what he's being charged for. He's being charged for breaking campaign finance laws in the way that the payment was made to her.

  2. Calling it the Hush Money Case is misleading. It's not paying hush money that was illegal, it's the campaign finance laws he broke in doing so because of HOW he paid her.
