  1. The whole idea of an individual health care system where everyone pays for the coverage they think they will need is just the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's like saying only play the winning number on the lottery. You can't know what health coverage you will need before you need it! Nobody says "I'm am going to get breast cancer in 6.2 years, as scheduled, so I'd better pick up that breast cancer insurance coverage soon".

  2. Sweden has 11 million people. Once you get to that scale there's really no difference between 11 million and 300 million as far as designing a functional system goes.

  4. Wow, that's horrible and terrifying. US is just the absolute worst. Seems like everyday we lose more human rights. Even the perception of being human is being stolen away from us to be commodified by corporations and sold back to us as a privilege for the wealthy.

  5. M4A wouldn't just cover EVERYTHING though. That would be an incredibly foolish way to run a healthcare system and allow corporations to design procedures to add in unnecessary elements to be as expensive as possible. Even if we had M4A the taxpayers wouldn't be footing the bill for Kim Kardashians 17th nose job or whatever. It only covers things that medical associations agree constitutes health care and is necessary for maintaining health.
