  1. I don't think that's his argument..... He is saying, if the US can do anything they want with zero consequences than why can't we too. He's got a point. Doesn't make what he's doing any less terrible though. Two wrongs don't make a right as they say. Putin surely saw the US invade the middle east (like 100 times) for oil and war profiteering with zero consequences and thought, hey Ukraine's got a lot of natural gas and there are not consequences so I'm going to go for it.

  2. Yeah, I wonder how many US "interventions" Putin watched before he was just like, "well, fuck, guess there's no rules, I may as well go for it too". He saw how much money was made from oil and war in the middle east and said "hey Ukraine's got a lot of natural gas".
