Labor is usually a tiny fraction of the final price of a good in the first place, usually 15% or less, so using child labor or slave labor is just to be cruel and amass power and wealth for one person instead of everyone. The massive wage gains at GM with workers gaining 25+% wage gains plus better benefits plus cost of living adjustments and the companies themselves said the final price of the vehicles would only go up by around $600 for a new vehicle that costs around $63,000. And two weeks after the new labor contracts they announced dividend increases and $10 billion worth of stock buybacks. So after weeks of complaining that they can't pay their workers and strikes halting production in some plants, they announce they have so much extra money they don't know what to do with it so they are giving it out to rich people for free.

This is the whole point of capitalism. Nobody cares about child slave labor as long as it makes the line go up. The whole point of contractors and export processing zones in poor countries (or free trade zones or the other dozen names they go by) is to obfuscate the supply chain giving the company plausible deniability for using slave labor and avoiding paying all taxes in the process while engaging the race to the bottom for the few that do get paid.
