  1. 1. She's talking about CA, and a high cost of living area at that. 2. First rule of bargaining is that you never come to the table with what you actually want. We need an extremist leftist movement to move the Overton window back just as MAGA is having an extremist rightward shift on the discourse in this country. Nobody, including her, believes we are going to get a $50 min wage. You come in with $50 and negotiate down to $25 or something. And even at $25, that means we have made 0 gains in wages for 40 years. If the invisible hand exists it's only purpose is to nut-punch us into submission to big business.
