  1. That was quite literally the first argument I seen from them when this news first came out. Not exactly about chores but about how their grandpappies worked since the day the escaped the prison that is the womb and lost an arm in the coal mine collapse of 1878 at the age of 7 and they still turned out great, kids these days are just lazy. It was as disgusting an argument as you'd expect. Trying to paint 13 year olds cleaning the head splitter in a slaughterhouse as "actually a good opportunity if you think about it".

  2. Don't forget that the businesses employing children will be exempt from any injury or death occurring on the job. And if there are no requirement to verify a child's age then that literally means there are no age requirements. They will be hiring 10 year olds and claiming they didn't know and they will have legally still followed the law.

  3. I read one article about a company caught in a bunch of child labor violations like a year ago and the literal fine was only $5,000. That's it. $5k. But don't worry "we're just increasing your child's freedumb, don't you like freedumb? What are you unamerican or something bro?"
