  1. Our entire economy is based on profit at all costs, people be damned.Just ask the economists and corporations themselves. As well as Reagan, Nixon, Milton Friedman, Bill Clinton, etc. All of the right-wing think tanks that have captured our government push this idea that only by giving companies the real freedom to pursue profits at any cost to lives can we have true freedom (I guess they mean freedom for kings and billionaires only but not the freedom for people to have breathable air or drinkable water).
