  1. The level of Santo's crimes literally pales in comparison to some of the other crooks there. It's definitely because of pissing off the powerful donors. I mean Trump lied just as much and about way more consequential things. Bob Menendez had literal gold bars stacked in his closet from a foreign government and nobody has even suggested expelling him. Texas AG Ken Paxton is even more corrupt as pointed out by his own staff and the majority of even the Tx republicans. Yet he's remained in power there (I think the republicans tried to oust him but were unsuccessful if I remember correctly).
