  1. I thought the free market was supposed to fix all these issues? What happened? Almost like monopolies are bad or something... And why, for something as vitally important to the entire functioning of our society as energy, do we rely on a couple of corporations to support the world and expect them to not profiteer and right their own rules? Seems like they need some competition and nationalization to me.

  2. Wonder how much subsidy money we will give them this year? I bet it'll be a LOT and their shareholders will have wet dreams for days. Why do we subsidize the most profitable industry on Earth again?

  3. It's a political move by big oil to destroy any politicians that would even attempt to pass climate bills or diversify energy into anything other than oil. As well as just to revel in their profits.
