  2. I hate the phrasing "the industry is facing layoffs". It implies that the industry is just a bystander and not the one doing the action. They are making record profits for christ sakes, they literally could have kept every employee and more but it's the Wall Street agenda to cause a recession and the continuously shake up labor to keep workers in the dirt and know their place. It's despicable.

  3. Layoffs aren't "painful" for executives. They are literally the whole point of business nowadays, to get rid of as many employees you can and automate the whole company so that only the executives get all the money in the world. These CEO's just play musical chairs at big companies, they do bad things and then they "step down" with massive bonuses for all the harm they did and then every CEO just steps one company to the left and do it all over again. And if they didn't lay off all their staff Wall Street would oust and blacklist them and find someone more amenable to the system. We are very quickly approaching a sci-fi level dystopian nightmare where there are literally no jobs left and 99% of the population is just called lazy bums and put in prison for the crime of being poor.
