  1. Yes, the human body has a multitude of mechanisms to constantly buffer the changing ph of blood. In other words, blood ph does NOT change because of the mechanisms that she described. Everything you eat/breathe/don't eat has an effect on blood ph, so the body has to constantly work to keep the blood ph perfectly stable otherwise you'd be in huge trouble.
