  2. They price everyone out of being able to buy a home, then raise the rent so that a lot of people can't afford that by reducing supply by letting houses sit empty. Then you've got a huge increase in homeless people who are then either subsidized by the government to pay these corps to live or they are sent to prison for being homeless in which case they are subsidizing the corporations that own the prisons by the government giving them free money to force prisoners to labor. It's a win all around for private equity and a lose for everyone else. Tennessee is making being homeless a felony by the way.
