  1. One thing to consider is who S.S. officers should be assigned to protect. Should retired congressmen and Senators be assigned S.S.? If so, on what basis was this decided? Surely, many could afford private protection if they have fears. I don't have an answer but think we should consider who we are offering S.S. detail to.
