  2. The leaders AND the citizen must understand HOW business works. Arbitraily raising mini.um wage, demonstrates a lack of knowledge on how a for profit business works. A service or product establishes it's charges/prices based on operating costs. So would the same product sell for more in Seattle, than Memphis? Yes, because operating costs ( which includes labor costs) are higher in Seattle, than memphis. Government typically ignores this factor. Newsome, an example of ideology over reality. The other problem is the government addiction to spending....on what government values, not on what the public needs.
