  1. I think more credit is given to the average voter. DO Americans understand the cause of inflation? Or are voters attracted to give-aways, to promises that can't be delivered. If 25,000 is gifted to home purchasers, they will pay 25,000 more for the same home they could not afford before the 25,000 gift. Do voters understand this? Probably not.
