  23. Probably less than 100 years ago they were known to still be practicing it. 1970s they still had a slab hut village in the foothills over the river from my family. Barely held to the laws of the time as they were promised land that was never giveb and were still there 100 years later. No long after I was born they tore the last of the huts down and managed to develop the area with the last of them being given help from gov housing and the last children born were uplifted the mother sent to girls homes.

They keep bringing this treaty up but these were British agents that organised it. Not settlers. The settlers were the ones being attacked.
