  1. The toolbox of an apocalyptical writer is full of things. Like these... Even if one goes off and it is relative harmless, relative will still mean no airplanes, darker skies, less food, power supply will falter, try to find clean water and so on! Humans that survive that probably will be quite a few B's less then we have currently living on this planet. A big "reset" so to say.
