  1. Ah VTEC, the little badge that showed up on cars that didn't even have it. Even of brands that don't even have VTEC engines. Because COOL and STREET RACE CRED. But yeah, it is always good to see improvements in engine design. Get the most out of the engine and get the best fuel efficiency/economy where needed and yet get somewhere quickly. So VTEC it is! Of course if you buy an old car with VTEC, of what the VTEC system fails it will just be a slow car. Which really shouldn't be driven over 5000RPM, unless you want to make a lot of sound and get little done. Now, Mazda is working hard to make their un-turbo'd engine go further more efficient by working on their engine design. And they are getting good at it. Yes, slightly bigger engines then the tiny engine with a turbo idea many have but.. overall a better design.
