  2. How that float, keep floating and deal with headwind? Or any wind... Ships have an equilibrium, the weight it replaces in water and ship. So a big ship usually goes deep. And if it doesn't goes deep that usually is at price of stability. That is why a ship made for slower rivers doesn't likes seas or high rivers. What could be steered and handled in a slow river is in danger or rolling around in a rough sea. So... does it has a deep keel? And just how deep does that keel has to be to keep the big super structure afloat? This means, in short, no servicing on land unless a country makes a special dry dock.... You know what got the bismarck? Yes I know bomber planes and torpedo planes. But most important was that it couldn't function in the western area because... UK blew up the only dry dock big enough in the lower western area. And without that... no service! Again, a ship this big is just insane...

  5. So much scifi material possible, writing about a sunken city, where there are only a few spots where among the now fresh waterways and rivers between buildings there are human colonies. Ah, hey don't look at me that way, that is what a writers mind does.
