EV's have issues. They are sold on that it is cheaper, but as subsidies die down and electricity prices go up, are they cheaper? Even the taxation will mean that your EV will cost the same taxes wise as an ICE car. So where is the cheaper? "Oh but long term you'll" ... you need to calculate that. Batteries are not cheap, EV"s might have less parts that can go wrong, but IF they go wrong they still need fixing. That isn't cheap either. So where is the point of EV's being cheaper to run compared to an ICE car depends on how much you drive, where you drive, the conditions, and soon. Hell I haven't even talked about the weak charger network, EV's are fun, as long as you can charge them. In many places there are no charging points! And getting one for your house/door so your car can sloooooooow charge. Ha, have fun fighting with the local city about that one!
