  1. Losing your job in the west at 35 y you still can find another job. Definitely if you have a set of useful skills or can get the right retraining. In an "awesome" country like china 35 is more a cut off date... after all younger workers are easy to find and cheaper! Where in the west that number is closer to 50. Yes, there are people here around 50 that seek jobs but due to their age their chances are lower to.

  2. Even a year or so ago when all didn't seem this dire, there was a video about marriages crashing down in China. Yes partly due to the "princess needs a new appartment/car/etc" but also because the resources are not there anymore.
