Dams, Floodings, Starvations... Eyes China Is this a rerun? It won't be long before the really bad times hit there again. China is still a broken country, ecology wise, by all the "smart moves" the CCP has done to it. Sure in other countries people made horrible choices too and are still trying to recover. But will CHINA ever recover? Will it ever get all the animals it lost? Not as long as chinese people see everything that lives and breaths as food!

They had flooding issues right now.. and with dams breaking and water being rerouted. I wonder how much water is left for food production!

@Oleandra_13 They don't like bad numbers, so even if it is false they just put a positive spin on them. Much like the USSR, oh right what happened to the USSR again? Thing is, by now all the heads of the smaller areas have lied for so long that nobody really can say what the truth is. It is quite possible that the TRUE GDP of China is a lot smaller! And when I say a lot, I mean it! Their numbers, make no sense! And yeah, economies go up and down, if in many countries in the west numbers go bad. Those numbers are public, and this means having to talk to the people and fix the problems. Or say "Coming few years our expenditures will be going down. This might affect some of the programs you receive." In china? Who in china even knows the truth by now?

It is sad isn't it. Seeing countries steer themselves for short term gains in such long term damage. I think the only thing that will heal the world/china is humanity mostly dying out and returning to much smaller numbers. As in, 10% of humanity surviving numbers... then many nature can reclaim areas and maybe then things get healthier again.

Lets say that on average people get to be 70-80 years if they don't get an accident. Lets say that a few get some diseases that take them out way to early. I would say that 0.5% is a good basic number. Because it contains both the natural deaths, the diseases that happen young, the people born with life threatening disease and those who have gotten an accident. It is probably less then 0.5% Though, in countries that retain public information about deaths and births, and then you connect it with the number of accidents on work or in traffic...
