  4. I wonder, If you compare two situations. Student A, studied, got their masters, found a job but will have to pay off their student debt for at least 25 years meaning that they probably won't get kids or own a house. Student B, did go into the trades, did get a small debt but rolled right into a job anyway and that debt was gone within 2 years. Will have to do certifications once in a while, yes, but that is part of the job! Sure Path B isn't for everyone but if many accept that Path B is actually an option that leads to work quicker and much less to none debt. Versus studying and hoping you find that job that allows you to pay off the huge debt you have in time for you to actually get a house, marry and get a kid. Because these things matter. You are right that women and men are different and have different plans in life. [Boooh Heresy, kick that person of the university grounds!] So for woman trades probably is not the most sought option. But when I hear that some women choose studies that effectively NEVER WILL MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY OFF THE DEBTS... what are you doing to yourselves? Has anyone checked how much a Nurse makes in their state before going for a nurse/medical degree? Don't get me wrong, yes nurses are needed but have you checked the debt vs potential income? So yeah some men are just more willing to take chances and have less debt at the start and through hard work and luck win in life. My point, DEBT WILL F YOU UP! Before taking on debt, think about IF and HOW you can pay it back.
