  1. Since many were bought as investments don't expect the price to drop. Also, many are owned by big investment groups, meaning ownership is shared among multiple entities. So any devaluation has to be approved by ALL OF THOSE to make it happen. And who wants to lose money of a "sure fire" investment? Also there are loan rules, if the investment was done using a bank loan the bank also can and will block devaluations! Of course the banks can't do anything if a whole neighborhood just empties and it blights...

  2. You can just hear the politicians scrambling... I wonder what their next idea is. Raise taxes? Defund more services? Get store owners to pay even more money into legal paperwork? There must be a way to safe "NYC" And with that I mean the cozy little jobs the top has.
