Yeah well he and Rob Dyrdek hated each other off camera. At least that's what I heard. I am more inclined to side with him on that one than Rob though. Rob is probably an incredibly difficult person to work for.

@FrenchUncleLou Yeah MTV was already on a serious downward trajectory before he entered the picture. It's not even close to being his fault although at best I would say he's a symptom of that downfall, but that's more their fault than it is his. They wanted crap and he became an excellent purveyor of crap. I don't blame him, if I knew people who were looking for garbage and I could provide it I would quit my job and become a garbage man TODAY.

Travis hit the nail on the head basically. It's expensive to show only music videos. There is literally no financial upside to it. There IS an upside to their new format which revolves around reality TV.

@LburgVAGuy Nobody would be watching MTV anymore at all if it was still the "music video" channel. The problem is there's too many channels now. But no, there is literally no reason to have a music video channel anymore with YouTube being a thing. Most artists have resigned themselves to this fact.

He was their meal ticket. It was financially in their best interest to not raise their kid.

"Cause real shit you a bitch like a feline" -- Bandz (RIP btw, he's actually a great rapper just didn't think that lyric all the way through I guess LOL)

@ComplicatedBot I forget where I heard it but it is pretty well documented there was a time they were friends for the camera only. Off-screen they couldn't stand each other. I mean, I don't know them personally obviously but that's definitely what I have heard.

@AspireGMD I hope so. I dunno, I am looking it up now and from everything I can tell they didn't really make up they just "made up" as in like Big Black went on to focus on his business solely and would occasionally do fantasy factory and Ridiculousness (even like two weeks before his death) but he basically said he felt like a slave or a "sidekick" to Dyrdek especially once the money started rolling in. I do hope they were able to make up though before his death, it just sounds like it was business only by the end.

This is .... almost fraud or a scam or something. But then again they probably thinking they're getting trolled like "Birthday greeting, birthday greeting. Hospice message. Birthday greeting. LIFE ADVICE? WHO?"

The real title is "Why 6ix9ine isn't Dead?"

Slim Jesus is absolutely correct though if an older rapper wanted to come out they could go viral BECAUSE they're old. It's... entirely possible

I want you to say hi to my cat so I might be out of $30 soon

"Someone who would disappear and nobody would notice" But they did notice?

Lately, the word "gang" has been used a lot. Sometimes several times in succession "Gang gang" or the more advanced "Gang gang gang"

They were probably somewhat friends. But if I found out my co-star ended up being Ted Bundy and killing people for fun (extreme exaggeration, I know) I'd be like "Yep we never liked each other. In fact, I didn't like the guy at all from the jump!" Nah, he's just saying that now because what else can you say when you find out someone you used to admire is a lunatic.

In some cases I think producers make more than rappers. One advantage to being a producer is you can produce in theory for every rapper on the planet, without owing any of them any certain amount of allegiance or anything. Rappers at best can feature with unlimited amounts of other artists (or have others feature for them) but it's still very much a solo-oriented thing if you choose to be a rapper over a producer. And of course there's always the double talents, the ones who do both. I find the ones who do that are usually better producers than rappers, though, Kanye and Pharrell I am looking right at you.

You know what's wild is Bam may have been the one who reported this in his sad, drunken little... shell.

Riff Raff is completely and totally sane. He's made a living out of creating a character. He's the hip hop Andy Kaufman basically.

I suspect this story won't have a happy ending sadly. I mean, please prove me wrong in the end. I want to be wrong. I just don't think it's going to happen at this point, regardless of who is wrong in this situation.
