  1. They were probably somewhat friends. But if I found out my co-star ended up being Ted Bundy and killing people for fun (extreme exaggeration, I know) I'd be like "Yep we never liked each other. In fact, I didn't like the guy at all from the jump!" Nah, he's just saying that now because what else can you say when you find out someone you used to admire is a lunatic.
