  1. Sadly I think we're going to find out firsthand what WW3 looks like because it's coming. With the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and China immediately swooping in to declare all of this money for infrastructure development, etc., in exchange for being their ally (and our enemy) like that should speak very loudly about what it might end up looking like. China doesn't care about human rights, neither does the Taliban, so it's a match made in Heaven, but the one thing they do share in common that is perhaps even more potent and powerful than that is they cannot stand the United States.

I don't think we're ever going to have a full-blown "war" again on a civil level but I do think we're already seeing the beginning of what it will look like which basically boils down to insurgency and what will be labeled as (and in a lot of cases rightfully so) domestic terrorism. The geographical lines simply don't separate neatly enough for people to have territories to fight over. It will very much be an ideological war. People are so willingly sedated by food, entertainment and comfort, things that won't be readily available during a war on THAT scale, I think it will resemble a military conflict more than a full-blown war and I also don't think it would last very long.
