  2. Stephen Hillenburg (the creator of Spongebob Squarepants) unfortunately passed away in 2018 from ALS, which is probably the worst neurodegenerative disease that you can get. It is a slow, painful way to die and by the end you can't do anything to care for yourself anymore. Literally nothing you can do by yourself anymore over time. But what is most interesting to me is that before he did Spongebob he was a marine biologist, which explains how he knew so much about the ocean and water in general.
