I remember in the early days of the pandemic when basically all the major news networks would stop everything and let this clown takeover giving his daily briefings where he'd basically tell everyone what we already knew and it was pointless at best, harmful at worst. Constantly just espousing the "facts of the day" which were changing by the minute as we learned more and more about the virus, leading to frequent contradictions. I even asked my friend like "When did we decide this guy was the authority on this?" and he was like "Well, he's the governor of NY so... maybe that's why." Yeah, great reason.
