So a lot of people don't realize the history behind this. Hong Kong is part of China, they have a deal though that they're to be absorbed into the communist aspect of the state by a certain year. I don't think that'll happen without a war. They're basically a democratic territory but they belong to a communist dictatorship they are just sort of doing this charade that they're not this entire time.

@PHOEBE_LOVELY The US doesn't use live ammunition against rioters or protesters. Oh nevermind I am guessing you're one of the oppressors, seeing your name. No, as bad as the US is, we do not use fucking live ammo on rioters. Tear gas, rubber bullets etc., yes, but not live ammunition. That's some dictatorship shit.

@PHOEBE_LOVELY Nope, I'm gonna pray for the rights of the protestors and Democratic values. I am not saying Democracy is perfect, I am saying that I'd rather live in this country than China though. So would Hong Kongers, apparently. Maybe you ought to... you know, let them. Or what are you afraid everyone else will run away from your shithole anti-human rights regime? I bet it's nice for the most esteemed comrades, of which I am guessing you are one. Not so much for everyone else. :-/
