  1. There's a reason North Korea barely has tourism. You can't go there from America directly but you can go to China, bribe some people and THEN go to North Korea -- VICE before it got as big as it did, the founder SNUCK A CAMERA into North Korea and actually got some of the only footage we have of the country that wasn't officially sanctioned by NK itself. But yeah the actual day to day lives of the average North Korean person are largely unknown, but we can assume it's pretty bad. They still have prison camps etc.

  2. If you know anything about North Korea and how draconian it is, you'd understand that this is nothing short of incredible, story-wise.
