  1. That house was amazing. Such a good idea, not just from a survival standpoint for the cat but also if your goal is to get him to move into the big house, it actually makes complete and total sense to introduce him to a smaller house first. This way he learns the benefit of having a roof with four walls around him, but also the insulation and warmth is something he probably never experienced in that way before so he's like "well if this one is this nice, I am sure the bigger one is even better!" Also definitely a smart idea to give him agency with regards to letting him decide if he wants to be in or outside at any time. Cats need independence and freedom and you seem to, in spite of saying you're not a cat person, intuitively understand this.

  2. You're doing God's work... people please don't litter. Things like this can that got stuck on that poor cat's head. Without intervention that cat would have died a slow, confusing and painful death. It breaks my heart. But I admire people like you who do what they can anyway, if we all did this who knows how much better the world might be for it.
