It's pretty obvious what it means. Abortion is no longer a federal right. A lot of people think it bans abortions entirely, that's not true, it just means that you either have to live in a state that allows abortions OR travel to them from out of state otherwise if you are in an illegal state. It's also kind of ironic because yes in the short term this is bad news for most people who believe Roe v Wade is a good thing, but it's weird timing as well because this is the kind of thing that could affect midterm elections in November negatively for Republicans. You'd think they'd have waited until after the elections to do something so rash.

@Real_PlayerOne They have heavily implied they're going to revisit a few other cases as well. Everything from contraception (think birth control and condoms) meaning they'll revisit the Griswold case; same sex relationships (Lawrence case) and, by extension, same sex marriage as well (Ogerfeld case). I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they pack the courts which would set an extremely dangerous precedent going forward even if in the short term it benefits Democrats. Then it'd constantly be back and forth chaos depending on who is president and next thing you know we have like 50 supreme court justices.

@Real_PlayerOne Justice Thomas in a separate concurrence opinion stated that the court should look at other substantive due process rights. Operating keywords: separate concurrence opinion. It wasn't in the statement itself for overturning Roe v. Wade.

@ricktilden2075 Remains to be seen. I do know half of the US population are women and right now more of them are pissed than not so yeah, if this didn't happen I would say that's probably what it would've focused on. Either way, Democrats are gonna get their asses handed to them I just am sort of surprised they did this now instead of waiting a few more months.

I love that someone with such an incorrect viewpoint on this issue in particular is named "Ralph". Until men start conceiving and having to carry babies around in their bellies to reproduce, honestly this is the sort of thing we should probably stay out of as men. It has nothing to do with us.

@darklaw7766 Are you really suggesting that men had no say in that beforehand? I mean sometimes they don't, usually they would though.

@brandensilverstar Why do you talk like a low intelligence Dr. Seuss?

@freshbrad1354 OK, well maybe be careful who you knock up then.
