I can't believe how unbelievably calm and collected that kid was talking to the cops. I wouldn't have had any idea that he had anything to do with it based on talking to him alone. I can't believe how callous he is, I would've seemed more guilty and suspicious even if I was completely and totally innocent because cops make me nervous. That is the definition of sociopathic behavior.

@michellemcbee5168 Same. I guess it just depends on your faith and all. I think it's a nice idea personally but all I can say is optimistically speaking I agree with you. Likewise, when this monster passes I hope either Hell is real or reincarnation is real and he comes back for his next incarnation as a cockroach.

@futuretimetraveller8677 SAME. Exactly the same. I don't know part of it is just generalized anxiety but the other part of it is something about cops just really gives me anxiety. The presumed amount of power they have, the uniform, THE GUN... and then every time they are talking to me I immediately begin the interaction by assuming that they're there to address something I did wrong. I had some cops show up to my door a few years ago asking for security footage because apparently some guy got kidnapped then robbed and they left him on the side of the road a few blocks away and at first I was nervous and paranoid they were talking to me and after that once I understood they were not there for me but for something I had, I noticed they noticed my insecurity and it wasn't like anything happened to me as a result but that's when I realized like "yo... cops kind of freak me out".

@futuretimetraveller8677 Damn that's crazy bro... It is wild though if you called the cops yourself and they still somehow thought you had something to do with it. Kind of case in point with what I am trying to say too. They don't necessarily want the truth, they want to wrap the case asap then go home a lot of the times even if they wrongfully accuse or even arrest people.

@JB-xi2yv All very good points. The initial interactions are mostly what I am talking about like specifically the first two times they talked to him. It wasn't until the long interviews later that I started kind of realizing like "He keeps mentioning the Dad and their contentious relationship with each other but the messages from the Dad seemed perfectly normal and loving." and just like you said he'd certainly not be criticizing this probably dead, certainly missing friend of his. After a while it almost seemed like he was intentionally trying to create doubt in the officer's mind, giving them reason to believe she either ran off, killed herself, or if she was murdered by someone else cause "Dad was crazy" he kept repeating over and over and over again when it was apparently completely and totally untrue.

@jojobee42 Yeah Liam was the main one honestly but I am kind of shocked Preston only got 15. And the reason he only got 15 I think is because he basically wrapped the case up nice and neatly with a bow once they did figure out what happened. He gave them the reason/motive, he took them to the money. They used Preston to secure a conviction on the other dude. But still, 15 years only? Very very low amount of time for an accessory to murder and an accomplice in the disposal of the body.

@MrEvanNoyes Most likely because they never thanked him. Did you not read the comment?

@roselikethewine Well the modern day APA lumps them into the same category which would be antisocial personality disorder (APD) because they're so similar but back in the day the Joker for instance would be a psychopath whereas Tony Soprano would be a sociopath. This kid did what he did, in spite of how cold and callous he is, for money. He did it for a reason. He's not just some kid who is gutting and skinning cats in the backyard for fun. He did it ultimately for money. It's more in line with sociopathy than psychopathy. If he killed her "just cause", psychopath. He did it for money though.

@robertbeard6380 I'll keep that in mind when I win the lottery one day lol... by the way, if you have a spouse I am pretty sure if you die it won't even matter what the will states. You share assets I thought anyway if you are married. You may have your own bank account and the spouse has theirs too, but if you die I am pretty sure they are legally entitled to your stuff UNLESS you specifically write them out of it which would be incredibly unusual I would think.

@roselikethewine Nah, psychopathic behavior would imply he just did it for fun. Sociopathic behavior would imply he did it for profit. He didn't do it for no reason/for fun the way a psychopath would. He did it for money. Not a good reason, but it was a reason all the same.

Dude if somebody is missing for any period longer than 8 hours, you should immediately get concerned especially if their habit is to respond back relatively quickly. At most a day. Some people think you have to wait two days, 48 hours, to report a missing person and that's actually not true. You can report a missing person at any time. Absolutely, categorically however do not wait FOUR DAYS to report someone missing. Statistically speaking after 48 hours have passed the chances of finding a missing person plummet. Four days is entirely too long to wait.

@roselikethewine Not wasting any more time arguing about this.

2:24:55 the exact same thing Jimmy Conway told Henry Hill in GoodFellas. I am not sure if that's where he heard it but probably actually.

He honestly didn't have to kill her. If he knew about the money he could've easily staged an armed robbery and taken the money but wearing a mask or something. Killing her was completely and totally unnecessary.
