  1. The only solution is to wait for the Hippos to invariably wind up attacking and killing someone someday. It's a sad reality but right now they're not viewed as these humongous killing machines because frankly they haven't killed anyone yet. Who knows maybe the better conditions for them in Colombia have made them more calm. More food, less competition, more hippo sex. They're living the dream.
