  3. As an avid HOI4 player... this just makes me appreciate it that much more. Once the war ramps up gas and oil is very difficult to get if you play as Germany, unless you do some very specific things. You just simply can't get it and you can't really produce it on your own, only way to get it is via trade and in the heat of the war your ships are just gonna get sunk. And honestly the gas problem exists to this day. They're very much dependent on Russia for oil.

  6. Taiwan is also a hub for electronics manufacturing. I forget which component exactly but I want to say it has to do with hard drives they are, or they used to be anyway, the only country in the world who could even make the part. I think they also are pretty instrumental in developing parts for graphics cards as well. There's a handful of reasons China wants the territory though and there's a handful of reasons their invasion when it does happen is going to be one of the most pivotal moments. WW3, if it hasn't already started and some people think it's already happening, will truly begin then.

  7. I mean the real answer is because they can. Everyone knows they have their eyes on Taiwan, in fact they in no uncertain terms (and you can look this up) said that if Japan even sends so much as one man to help when, not if but WHEN they invade Taiwan, they will nuke them out of existence. Look it up, it's insane. And why stop at Taiwan? Why stop at the Japanese islands? China could very well go for one after the other until they control it all because they can. People think WW3 is already going on and that may be true with regards to what's happening in Ukraine (and the US and NATO's role in it, which basically is a proxy war between US and Russia at this point) but WW3 will well and truly begin when China invades Taiwan. People don't understand just how much we depend on Taiwan specifically when it comes to computer parts like hard drives and even graphics cards. You think they're hard to find now. Just wait.
