If having a child isn't enough to make you quit using drugs then I think the biggest tragedy of all is that nature allowed you to have them. To bring a child into the world is a big thing in itself, but to bring one who had no choice but to be addicted and then subsequently withdraw from drugs or even be born with other deficiencies because you couldn't help but keep using? Like, that puts you in that stereotypical junkie sub-category that makes everyone think they're all just a bunch of no good thieves and fucking vagrants. The only reason they think that is because these are the stories they're more likely to hear. The bad ones. About how the junkie who needed a fix stole your computer, you never hear about the junkies who keep normal jobs and you'd maybe otherwise never know the difference.
