  2. I don't think GRRM will finish the books, either. So there's that. There's just not enough time, considering he wants like 2000 pages or something and he writes maybe one page a day if we're lucky. But the main, #1 problem is that he's simply just bored of his own series. And now especially that he's seen the way people reacted to the HBO ending, like, I dunno. I will be more surprised if he releases the final book (to be clear I do think we'll get Winds... I think) than if he doesn't at this point.
