  1. In the final episode of Season 2 when they're singing "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend" the boots she's wearing are stunning. And I am a dude. I don't normally notice things like that. One thing that show really nails besides everything, honestly, is hammering home the idea that the Gemstone kids are unconscionably materialistic and that includes having nice clothes, cars and jewelry etc. So it does make sense. I also suspect each of the actors were given a lot of freedom in every aspect of the character including their dress, etc.

  2. I know it's not Seth Meyers' fault, the state of late night TV as a whole. Even Conan before leaving for HBO for whatever reason ditched the suit in the final year or two. But now everyone is doing it? Conan said it best in an interview I believe on Howard Stern that one of the greatest traditions of late night comedians was the idea that they dressed immaculately, in suits and all, and it was the ultimate foil to the silliness they were getting into. Nobody is wearing suits anymore. Next thing you know they'll be showing up to record their shows wearing pajamas or board shorts.
