  2. You end up paying a lot of the difference for it in taxes it sounds like because what you paid for it is still less than what the house is actually worth. It's a buyer's trap. Also, it's in freaking Detroit. Would you rather live in Detroit or SF? And that's not a loaded question either because I do understand SF is struggling nowadays with their own issues, but still, it's not Detroit.
