  1. I thought it was actually appropriate that Brienne and Jaime didn't end up together and do the whole "happily ever after" thing. That was realistic.

  2. More than anything else you can point to as far as what went wrong, above all else the writing was extremely bad. And in particular the pacing was awful. This can be directly blamed on D&D themselves. They should have just stepped away from the project as soon as they began noticing they were getting burnt out, but their egos wouldn't allow that. They started it, they demanded they be allowed to finish it. All while they were eager to leave Westeros and try their hand at Star Wars. The ending of Game of Thrones was so bad they ended up losing their deal with Star Wars/Disney on the heels of it. Behind the scenes, their careers are in shambles as a result of the blunder that was Thrones, but you'll never hear people in the industry actually say that. It backfired on them, it's safe to say.

  3. I give Emilia Clarke all the credit in the world for being horrified they did what they did to her character but still perform the part perfectly.
