It was just yet another example of a man who was already pushed into a corner but only seems to find himself slinking further and further into it to a point where now he HAS to be the King. He has no other choice at that point. It was too late for any other outcome and to be completely honest whether Jesse did what he did or not I still think Gus eventually would've removed Walt. That point could be and still is debated to this day.

Wow people were dicks to this guy in the comments section. "Oh I changed colors cause I changed my shirt!" Anyone who has seen Breaking Bad even just once knows that the cinematography is first rate. The use of colors and color filters on the camera lens were widely used to create more "mood", etc., with the use of color. So your observation on the color of something as simple even as his shirt, while maybe seeming trivial to the most casual of fans, from the production side of things it was most likely entirely on purpose. There was this one thing I saw a few years ago that analyzed the use of color in various scenes over the series' progression to chart various characters' "decay" throughout the duration of the show. Like Jesse, for instance. And Walt. How the colors they dress in change over time and reflect how the character's changed as well. For instance, Jesse wears more and more black as time goes on. Here's the link to that: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/breakingbad/images/b/b4/Breakingbad-colors.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130903001048 Or you can just simply go check the BrBa wiki and check out the entry on "Color". http://breakingbad.wikia.com/wiki/Colors The use of color is almost as intrinsic to the quality of the show as the use of time-lapses to indicate that time has progressed in certain other scenes, something BrBa quickly became famous for.

Etc -- that's the dumb person's way of looking at it. Yeah, he was instantly panicked by the fact that Skyler had given Ted the money when they needed it the most. To pay the guy to change their identities so they could run away and start over and avoid Gus. She ended up giving it to Ted though because SHE was going to get in trouble because he had cooked the books without her knowledge but it had her signatures on them anyway. She didn't think it would be that big of a deal because she was just beginning to believe Walt when he said that his line of work was perfectly safe even considering how much money he was making. It all came crumbling down around him but it wasn't just that she had given basically all of their money to Ted -- it's that on top of that their lives were basically now over UNLESS of course he could figure out a way to kill Gus and his entire gang first. It wasn't an option anymore, it was either Walt or Gus at that point and Walt knew it. But if you think that the scene with him screaming and then laughing in the crawlspace after realizing the money was gone was strictly just because the money was gone then you're either really young or you're really dumb. Or both. Go watch the series again, and then again, until you start picking up the finer points of Walt's descension into the underworld and then later, madness. To think it was just because the money was gone -- poof! -- is such an elementary way of looking at the scene and frankly I think you misunderstood it considering that.

Better Call Saul if you've not seen it, The Sopranos is great, Boardwalk Empire is also great, some people say The Wire is the best show of all time -- I think it's just good, not great -- some people also like Sons of Anarchy but I haven't seen very many of those so can't really offer an opinion on it. Or you can just watch Breaking Bad again. I've only seen it about, oh, 4 or 5 times by now lol... sadly.

I recommend The Sopranos or Better Call Saul. BCS because it's a prequel to Breaking Bad. It's literally set in the same universe and is the closest thing to a sequel or spinoff you'll ever get with BrBa. But if what you are interested in is the exploits of a man and his career made in the underworld while also having the basically side-plot that he also has to love and deal with his family (including lying to them, etc) then The Sopranos in many ways is actually a better show than BrBa. BrBa is more of a "light" show. There's far fewer characters. The Sopranos has way more characters, way more episodes, way more violence (and also they aren't limited in their use of language, either, as it is on HBO -- something BrBa had to deal with even though it originally aired on cable). I just find myself encouraging anybody and everybody who hasn't seen it yet to see The Sopranos, cause I used to think BrBa was the greatest show ever made until I finally forced myself to watch The Sopranos again about a year or two ago.

The scene with Hank for me is the best. You know what I mean if you've seen it, if you don't, don't look it up. And get the fuck out of here if that's the case, too, please don't ruin this show for yourselves. But yeah the Hank scene to me was the best. Sad, powerful, tragic. Heartbreaking. It can and should be made into an opera or something.
