  1. Funny thing is they invented a proprietary screwdriver that is officially not sold in stores to PREVENT people from opening up their iPhones and other devices. It's the little 5 point star shape screw. People have made third party screwdrivers that work great, every tech worth his salt owns at least one, but yeah when that happened I knew right away "they don't want people to be able to help themselves"

  2. Meanwhile I'm a technician so I fix my own things, a display in normal laptops is one of the easiest repairs ever. Not so with the Macbook Pros, but far from impossible to work on.
