I didn't know he got addicted to opiates (Oxycontin) either. I did know he was addicted to cocaine, he even wrote Misery as a metaphor about cocaine, true story.

He'd probably so mad he'd go to war over it. Wait

Crowley's influence on music is so far reaching it's insane. From rappers to rock stars, it's not uncommon to see them either wearing shirts with his face on it or quotes by him, in particular his most famous quote which is basically the first law of Thelema which is "Do What Thou Wilt". I don't know if they gravitate to him out of actual interest in the occult or if they have just heard that the music industry is dominated by the occult and want to show that they're "in the know" too. I think it's been relegated to more of a fashion statement than anything else, as I do not believe the music industry is governed by the Illumnati or Satanists. I DO think that they're intentionally putting "illuminati references" in their videos and whatnot as a point of style for the modern era, in the same way people used to wear leisure suits in the 70s but don't anymore.

It's ironic to me that Crowley's grandfather made a fortune making and selling booze, and his father was basically so embarrassed by it that he became a preacher and spread the message that alcohol and drunkenness were sins... but he certainly didn't mind taking that sin money. Then Aleister Crowley comes along and he basically idolizes his father until his death, at which point Crowley begins to reject the trinity and ends up living a life that revolved around being sinful INTENTIONALLY, as a philosophical lifestyle or mission.

Well, nobody even knows how much money Putin has but some people believe that he might, in fact, be the richest man in the world.

Crowley believed he was establishing a religion that would overtake Christianity within 1000 years. So far, I think he's well on track to fulfilling that vision. In my own lifetime I've witnessed people becoming less and less and less religious, regardless of what religion they were raised into. It's not that people are gravitating to the occult more, it's just that people are gravitating to the traditional monotheistic religions less. If he was an agent for Satan, this is exactly what he would have wanted.
