  1. It's absolutely tragic this dude is joining for all the wrong reasons, he's a smart, capable person but he's too stupid to see that there's really no love when it comes to gang, not in the end. They'll roll on you if they get caught, they'll shoot at you if they're on the other "team", the ones higher up will use you to do their dirty work basically forever and threaten to kill you if you don't, they are the ones making the most after all but they do the least. Is that fair? And the stakes are way, way too high to just give it away like that. I do understand the temptation for all people who grow up in the inner city especially without father figures like or solid family lives like the "idea" of a gang is great. But in reality it's just so not. He may have survived the beating with "just a concussion" but I really pray he gets out of that life for good one day. Shit's nothing to write home about at all
