  1.  @jermsbestfriend9296  I really hope so. I hope the new Taliban regime will be less extreme, if only because we frankly will need them to be if we hope they're gonna use those new weapons against ISIS or something. At least we have that enemy in common. Not to mention for the people who are well and truly stranded there still, like they may actually need to turn themselves into the Taliban and hope they can get bribed out of the country or something. Al-Qaeda won't do that (they'd kill them). ISIS certainly won't do it (they'd torture and kill them, most likely on camera to some bizarre Islamic propaganda music and everything). Like if they're not out yet ironically the Taliban may just be their best and only hope once the deadline passes.

  2. We're likely not going to have much more in the way of documentaries or news pieces in Afghanistan for decades to come. It's about to get more secretive than North Korea over there.
