I think it's pretty telling that they were going out of their way to prevent outrageous things happening in game, such as taking a black person to the KKK and lynching him together for example. That would be the WRONG kind of controversy, so it's basically impossible to do in game. But they forgot about those poor women though apparently!

They actually put a hard lock on certain things as well to prevent media controversy, for example, bringing a black guy to the KKK meet and/or like joining the KKK, doing anything other than absolutely destroying the KKK in game, is impossible. Thank God, I mean, unless you were playing an evil character. I bet fewer people would actually do that in the game than ever did screw hookers then kill them to get their money back in GTA games, but that's what the news will attach on to like "It's a black people killing simulator!" so they wisely prevented things like that from being possible. HOWEVER the PC version is coming out soon, and... yeah. Mods.

Violence doesn't come from violent videogames. I do think that it's taking people to a certain level of desensitization but I think by and large some people are born with traits that lead to more violent behavior just naturally. They didn't need any help or inspiration or leading along by the media with regards to that before those things ever came along. However I think people WITH this trait aren't necessarily being helped by the media and the games and whatnot in developing those traits further. But they're the minority of people, it shouldn't be restricted from all just because a few people may hone their violent tendencies further by experiencing it.
