Honestly I mean there's adding a thing or two to give your own stuff a signature kick or whatever but if you add fentanyl to any drug you're selling ... if anyone dies, WHEN anyone dies then honestly I think manslaugher charges should be considered on top of drug trafficking itself. IT HAS NO PLACE ON THE STREETS unless you have absolutely zero regard for your customers whatsoever.

  2. Fentanyl was almost created by the Chinese as a weaponized drug to use against the west, especially considering a huge amount of it comes from there and the fact America's been dealing with an opiate crisis for the better part of 20 years now.

  3.  voitdive  It's being mass produced by China now, I don't give a damn who made it. I am not saying they invented it, I am saying they're currently making it right now arguably to undermine the moral fabric of America. One way or another, dollars to donuts I bet most of the fentanyl that is popping up in illegal street drugs came from China. I don't care who invented it, that's not what my point was. One random guy nobody cares about invented it (EDIT: Sorry I didn't know that, interesting and good to know). That being said, China's arguably using it as a weapon against us which it goes without saying despite the "peace" there is a conflict welling up there. What better way to keep America weaker than to break families apart by addiction and ultimately even death? China actually just included in a recent agreement with America that they'd begin cracking down on the production of the drug, it's part of this 90-day pact the US and China just agreed to to avoid an all out trade war. It was just one of the bullet points that China agreed to.

As much as I care about anyone who invented any important drug, I guess, even Heroin which I believe was Bayer (the company obviously lol, I don't know the name of the chemist himself in this case either) ... who originally had made it to treat tuberculosis and chronic coughing IIRC. Fentanyl to me is scary. I have no doubt that used properly it can be great, but I mean I wouldn't even put it in a pill form. The patch is good enough. When it comes to perfectly synthesized fentanyl literally a pin needle amount, A PIN NEEDLE, can kill someone with moderate to little tolerance. And maybe even seasoned junkies. But here I will agree with you as well -- what criminals and drug addicts do should not define what the creator of the technology's intent was to begin with. Take nuclear energy for example. Einstein developed that believing that the world could exist with unlimited clean energy basically forever and be independent from oil even one day potentially and they turn around and take the same technology and create the most lethal bomb that humankind has ever devised. Science is always playing this way.
