Exactly, the late great Joan Rivers had a great joke that was basically the exact same thing like "I can't believe they even want to be married at all! Let them marry! Why not? Why not let them be just as miserable as the rest of us?" To be honest it's an individual rights thing to me and it always has been, regardless of how you feel about it on an ethical or religious level. It's two people making a deal with themselves and the government and God. I do not seem to enter into that equation at any point, so it doesn't seem to be any of my business and stuff at that point. But sadly wars have been fought over less.

@22alexraider That was the plot to an Adam Sandler movie. And to answer your question, no, I don't think they would. Or else they would've done so by now. Why would you want to do that if you're considering two straight guys? Just find a bitch and get married the straight way which was never illegal to begin with. Beyond that you're just talking moronic hypotheticals that literally are so ridiculous and far-fetched and, well, stupid that Adam Sandler himself also thought of it. So TL;DR, to answer your question, not just no, but fuck no. +Mawer -- glad to hear it? I hope in a good way lol

@22alexraider Alas, but it is. That's really one of the primary reasons to marry nowadays is for economic benefits afforded to the couple. Money saving opportunities. That's one reason the gays wanted to get married as much as they did. So I hear you, the government "SHOULD" not be in it, but guess the fuck what? They are. So as long as they are, allow both sides of the aisle the same privileges or tell the government to get out of both. Shrug.
